Theory: Was Sasquatch an anti-hacking campaign?

Hey penguins,

Throughout the past year, Club Penguin has been subject to numerous cases of hacking, fraud, scams and promotion abuse, and part way through last year, Club Penguin released a mysterious mascot with no name, no origin story but just had a beta hat. With the issue of hacking vocal and heard by everyone, from the community to Club Penguin themselves, Disney Interactive need to pull something off to show they hear us.

The Sasquatch is a new mascot created only in 2014, yet he wears a beta hat. Of course, there could be the whole storyline that Sasquatch exist before Club Penguin was available online and so on, but maybe, the Sasquatch is a good penguin turned bad but realises his mistake of hacking the beta hat and wants to change. After hiding in shame of hacking the hat, he's come out rarely to try to socialise with penguins but the crowds overwhelm him.

What I have presented today is just a theory. Sasquatch may just be a fun mascot Club Penguin randomly decided to come up with, or he may be a mascot promoting good change within people who have done bad things in the past and acknowledge their wrong-doings.

Waddle on,
