LEGO Marvel Superheroes Character Guide

There are 155 playable  character  in this game, all of which must be unlocked, and some of which must be bought. This guide lists all the characters in the order that they appear on the character selection screen. If you are missing a character and don’t know which one it is, look at the characters either side of it, then use this list to figure out who it is. Locations of the character tokens are included, although this may not be necessary because each token is shown on the map. However, if you are missing a character and don’t know their name, this may help you. Enjoy!

You can use the taxi provided at the start (I managed to beat him in this) or you can go and get a faster vehicle, that handles better. When you beat him, you will unlock this character.

Cyclops (Astonishing)	150,000	Financial District	Speak to a guy near who will tell you he is late. Get a vehicle and stop on the white circle in front of him. When he jumps in the car, follow the trail to the end, and drop him off at the white circle.

Thing (F.F.)	250,000	Reptilian Ruckus	In this level there are three round windows that you must destroy. The first is to your left as soon as you start the level. It has a gold rim so you need to use a laser to destroy it. The second is to the left of the last one, and is silver so you need explosives to destroy it. You can find the third when you have drained the water away, on the left. Use telekinesis to destroy it and the token will appear.

Maria Hill	150,000	Helicarrier Deck	When you have completed her mission on the deck, that unlocks the Minicarrier, you can then speak to her again and she will challenge you to a Go-kart race. Beat her and you will unlock her.

Absorbing Man	150,000	Upper West Side	There is a building site with a drain right in the middle. Destroy the drain cover and ride the stream of water to collect the token at the top.

Ant Man	150,000	Fisk Tower	There is a pile of dirt under a corrugated roof. On top of the pile, there is a car. Destroy the car to uncover a dig spot. You can then dig the token out of it.
Archangel	150,000	Avenger’s Mansion	On the side of the building there are many drain pipes. You have a very short amount of time to destroy all of them. A laser can take them all out very quickly, and you can move it fast. When you have done it, the token will appear.
Arnim Zola	200,000	None	Complete Red Head Detention
Aunt May	150,000	West Harlem	After completing two quests for Deadpool, speak to him here and he will ask you to kill some bad guys. Kill them all to unlock this character.
Beetle	150,000	Yorkville	In an alley there are many bouncy spiderwebs. Above them there are a ton of studs. Just keep collecting all the studs as they appear, and when you have them all, you will unlock the character.
Black Bolt	150,000	Central Park	In the animal pen, there is a guy who wants you to play the old “which cup is the ball under?”. Underneath each “cup” there is a red light. When you guess that a ball is in that cup, and you are right, the light will turn green. When all three lights are green, you will unlock the character. The cups don’t move that fast so it’s pretty easy to follow which cup it is in. When you are ready to make a guess, use telekinesis to raise the cup.
Black Cat	150,000	East Village	The token is inside a black box, in a pet shop. Pull each red hook, off of the shutter so you can get inside. Then use Super Sense to reveal a switch, that will open the box.
Black Panther	150,000	East Village	Speak to Black Panther and he will say that he has lost his friend. Follow the trail to the end, where you will find a black cat, dressed as Captain America. Follow the cat and deal with enemies as they spawn. When you have destroyed the last enemy, the cat will jump up onto a roof. Follow it up and destroy the enemies that spawn here too. When you have killed all of them, the cat will drop down to the floor again. Jump down and you can now get the cat to follow you back to Black Panther.
Blade	150,000	East Harlem	After completing a couple of other missions for Blade, on the map. He will ask you to ram some enemies vehicles and get them off the road. Destroy all three vehicle to unlock this character.
Blob	250,000	None	Complete Put Up Your Dukes
Bullseye	150,000	Industrial District	On top of a building, you will be able to see four basketball hoops. Have Thor throw his hammer at all four before time runs out, and the token will appear.
Captain Britain	150,000	Lower East Side	Speak to Captain Britain, who will ask for some help, dealing with some enemies. When you have killed the last one, the character will unlock. (If you find they stop spawning, but the character is not unlocked, one of the enemies often gets stuck up on one of the lights. You can hear him, and if you target him, you can destroy him)
Carnage	150,000	Yorkville	On top of a building there are many grates that you can slide through. Unfortunately, all of them will lead you out into the same one, and not the one you want. Three of the grates have water around them. Freeze them, then go through the one you left open, and you will pop up in the tower. You can now jump up, or fly up, to collect the token.
Colossus	150,000	X-Mansion	Walk over the large white circle in front of the mansion and Sentinel will appear. Destroy the silver plate on his chest, then the gold one, then throw something at the cracks. He will spout gold studs and the character will unlock.
Curt Connors	200,000	None	Complete Reptilian Ruckus
Damage Control	150,000	Helicarrier Deck	At the back of the deck there is a fire burning. Beside the fire there is a blue water gun. Jump on by pressing Y, then spray all the flames to put them out. When the last one dies out, you will find the token.

Doctor Octopus (Ultimate)	150,000	Tabloid Tidy Up	Around the office, there are three notice boards that need to be rebuild and placed on the wall. The first can be found in the right hand corner. Destroy the gold brick to get the bricks, which you build into the notice boards. To build the second you need to destroy a grey filing cabinet inside the office, and the third can be found by destroying a silver brick in the left hand corner of the room. When all three are built, the token will appear in the middle of the room.

Drax	150,000	Marvel Comics H.Q.	Speak to Drax, on top of the building. He thinks a lions would sort out his jazz music. Head to the animal enclosure, beside the circus. Jump on the lion and ride it back to the building. On one side of the building there is a grey ramp. You can follow this ramp all the way to the top of the building. Be careful on the turns. The camera angle can get messed up and if you fall, you have to start the climb again. When you reach Drax, while on the lion, the character will unlock.
Electro	150,000	None	Complete A Shock Withdrawal
Electro (Ultimate)	150,000	Oscorp	Speak to the woman outside the building, and she will call for a taxi. Grab a vehicle and drive onto the white circle in front of her. When she jumps in the car, drive her across town and drop her off at another white circle.
Elektra	150,000	West Harlem	On top of a building, you can destroy some Lego to uncover a claw switch. When you activate this, a shutter below you will raise, revealing a cracked wall. Smash through to collect the token.
Emma Frost	150,000	X-Mansion	Find Professor X in the garden and talk to him. He will ask you to demonstrate the use of your super power to one of his students. Use mind control on the student behind the glass. They are stood on a spot marked with an “X”. You must walk them through the maze until you reach another spot marked with an “X”.
Frost Giant	250,000	None	Complete Bifrosty Reception
Galactus	Free	None	Complete The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly
Gambit	150,000	Central Park	Speak to Gambit and he will tell you that he has lost a card. Head across the park and look for a small, white Lego brick sticking out of a tree. It will be near the ground so there’s no need to look up high. When you have it, return it to Gambit.
Gamora	150,000	Times Square	Speak to Drax and he will ask you to find him a saxophone. Follow the trail to the end, where you will find a shop with it’s shutters down. On the side of the building, above the shutters, there is a switch, but nothing to stand on to pull it. To the right of the switch, there is a panel that you can use to match the pairs. This will give you a platform to stand on so you can pull the switch and open the shutters. You can then take it back to Drax.

Green Goblin	Free	None	Complete Doctor In The House
Green Goblin (Ultimate)	175,000	The Thrill Of The Chess	When you reach the cell block, use the claw switch at the back of the room to open the cell behind you, so you can collect the token.
Groot	150,000	Inwood	After completing a game of whack-a-mole for Groot, speak to him here and you will see some moles appear on the cliff face, behind Groot. This time you have to get 15 moles before time runs out. Use a laser again to get this done quickly.
Gwen Stacy	150,000	Times Square	Speak to Drax and he will ask you to help him defeat some enemies. When you kill the last one, the character will unlock.
Havoc	150,000	Washington Heights	The token is inside a shop, but the shutter is down so you cannot get inside. On top of the building there are two lasers that will shoot you on sight. You can stand behind a little wall on the left, then change into Captain America and stand on the pad on the right. Reflect the lasers back at the gold fan to destroy it. When you’ve done this, the shutter will open and you can get the token.
Heimdall	150,000	Little Italy	Speak to Heimdall who will ask you to find his friend. Follow the trail to the end, then get his friend to follow you by pressing B. You then need to lead him all the way back, to get the character to unlock.
H.E.R.B.I.E.	200,000	None	Complete Times Square Stand Off

Hydra Agent	12,500	Washington Heights	On top of a tall building, there is a large green bin, in front of a cracked wall. Smash your way through to collect the token.
Iron Fist	150,000	East Village	After you have completed a race against Blade, speak to him again and he will ask for help to deal with some enemies. When you kill the last one, the character will unlock.
Iron Man (Hulkbuster)	150,000	Stark Tower	The helipad is surrounded by eight vents. Use explosives to destroy them all before time runs out.
J. Jonah Jameson	250,000	None	Complete Tabloid Tidy Up
Juggernaut	250,000	None	Complete Juggernauts And Crosses
Kingpin	150,000	None	Complete Feeling Fisky
Kingpin Henchman	150,000	Feeling Fisky	Charge the lightening switch behind the bar to turn on the jukebox and reveal the character token.
Kraven the Hunter	150,000	Central Park	Beside the fountain in the Reptile House, there is a small, grey platform. If you stand on this platform, with your back to the fountain, you can see five targets. Hit these with a laser beam to knock them down. When all five targets are down, the token will appear in the pond in front of you.
Kurse	150,000	Roxxon Power Station	Near the power station there is a large white circle on the ground. If you stand in this, Kurse will appear. Have one of your large characters defeat him in a fight.
Laufey	250,000	None	Complete Bro-tunhei
Leader	150,000	Fisk Tower	Near the entrance of the tower there are a couple of billboards. Between the billboards there are some striped wall that you can use to wall jump up to the token.

Mary Jane Watson	150,000	Yorkville	In an niche on the side of a building, there is a black box. Use your Super Sense to reveal a hook, then pull the box open to collect the token.
Mastermind	250,000	None	Complete Taking Liberties
Mini Sentinel	150,000	Columbus Circle	Stand on the white, glowing circle and Sentinel will appear. Destroy the silver panel on his chest, then the gold one. You can then throw Thor’s hammer at his chest and he will start spewing studs at you. When he falls, you will unlock this character.
M.O.D.O.K.	250,000	None	Complete That Sinking Feeling
Moon Knight	150,000	A Shock Withdrawal	On the left there is a man behind a glass panel. Use mind control to make him pull the lever. This will lower some bars just outside the window. Destroy the object that was behind the bars to reveal the token.
Ms. Marvel	200,000	Nuff Said	Destroy the golden Hulk statue on your right, when you start the level.
Mysterio	150,000	None	Complete The Thrill Of The Chess
Mystique	Free	None	Complete Rapturous Rise
Nightmare	250,000	None	Complete Stunt Show Surprise
Nova	150,000	Yorkville	Complete the race on top of a building. This is not a flying race, you just need to navigate your way around the buildings, on foot.
Pepper Pots	150,000	Industrial District	Speak to Black Panther, who will ask you to take out some enemies. When you destroy the last enemy, you will unlock the character.
Rescue	150,000	Industrial District	Speak to Black Panther, and he will ask you to sabotage a “contraption”. There are three large, round buildings behind him. On the one on the right, fly up and use Magnetic Powers to remove the two blue objects, then hit the shield switch. Now go down to the water and look for a shield switch on the sea wall. When you hit this, some platforms will come out so you can use the access panel, by the water. Match the pairs and you will disable the device, and unlock the character.
Polaris	150,000	None	Complete The Thrill Of The Chess
Power Man	150,000	Yorkville	You can find this token in an alley. As you approach it, you will be attacked. Kill five enemies before the timer runs out, and the token will appear.
Professor X	150,000	X-Mansion	In the garden of the X-Mansion, you can speak to Professor X and he will ask you to demonstrate your super power to one of his students. Use telekinesis to put the blue bits of Lego back onto the board to make an “X”.
Psylocke	150,000	Financial District	Speak to Captain Britain (after you have returned his car to him), and he will challenge you to a race. Beat him to unlock this character.
Punisher	150,000	Industrial District	After completing a few missions for Punisher, he will ask you to destroy some vehicles, one last time. When you take all the vehicles out, you will unlock the character.
Pyro	150,000	None	Complete Juggernauts And Crosses
Red Hulk	150,000	Industrial District	Near the water’s edge, there is a white circle. Transform into a large character, then stand on the circle. Red Hulk will appear, and you have to fight him. When you have defeated him, the token will appear. (If you knock Red Hulk into the water, leave the area and come back to start again)
Red Skull	200,000	None	Complete Red Head Detention
Rhino	250,000	None	Complete Rapturous Rise
Rocket Racoon	150,000	Lower East Side	Speak to Rocket Racoon, who will ask for a photograph of a giraffe that has climbed a building. Head over to Fisk Tower, where you will find a giraffe on top of the building, and a white circle where you can stand as Peter Parker and take a picture. Take it back to him to unlock the character.
Ronan The Accuser	150,000	Central Park	Next to the small monument, there are some Lego bushes (between two walkways leading up to the monument). Behind the bush, there is a passage that you might not see at first. Head into the passage, where you will find a blue box at the end. Destroy the gold and silver walls, either side of the box, to reveal two lightening switches. Charge them both, and a third switch on the ceiling, to open the box.

Sandman Goon	150,000	Yorkville	Along the water’s edge there is a road. You can stand on a platform above the road, and see a cracked wall on a column. Break the wall to get the token.
She-Hulk	150,000	Scrapyard	The token can be seen on top of a water tower, but it is ghosted out. There are seven cracked walls around the water tower, that you must break. When you break one, you will have fifteen seconds to get to the next one and break it too. I used Thor for this one because he can throw his hammer at the vertical ones.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent	150,000	Helicarrier Deck	At the very back of the deck, it is possible to get underneath the ship, and follow a ramp to a platform. At the end of the platform there is a gun. Jump on and start shooting at the targets that appear and disappear in front of you. When you have destroyed all targets, you will get the token.
Shocker	150,000	None	Complete A Shock Withdrawal
Silver Samurai	150,000	Industrial District	On top of a building there is a blue box, with small tunnels just behind it. Use your Super Sense on all the spots on top of the tunnels. When you have done this, you will see a clear path through the tunnel, with two purple points at the start and finish. Use telekinesis to move the grey object form one purple spot, to the other. This will unlock the blue box so you can collect the token.
Silver Surfer	1,000,000	East Harlem	Speak to Silver Surfer in an alley and he will tell you that he has lost another piece of his board. Follow the trail and beat up the guy at the end. You can then take the little brick back to Silver Surfer, to unlock him.
Spider-Woman	150,000	Financial District	On top of a building there is a blue box, with a few spiderwebs on it. Go down to the shop below, and destroy the spiderwebs inside. One of the webs was concealing a switch. Pull it to open the box so you can collect the token.
Squirrel Girl	150,000	Dockyard	On a small hut, there is a blue box. Behind the hut, there are several Lego bushes. Destroying these will uncover dig spots. One of the dig spots has a button you can stand on, which will raise the shutters on the little hut. You can then use Magnetic Powers to throw the switch inside the hut, and open the blue box to collect the token.
Stan Lee	Free	None	Find and help every Stan Lee in peril.
Star-Lord	150,000	Upper West Side	Speak to Rocket Racoon, who will ask you to help settle a disagreement. Defeat all the enemies to unlock this character.
Superior Spiderman	150,000	Empire State Building	On the top of the building, there is a small platform, on the corner. If you jump off this platform, you will free fall. As you go down, there are rings of studs. When you fall through these, and reach the bottom, you will collect the token.
Super-Skrull	150,000	Upper East Side	On top of a building there is a water tower. Underneath the tower there is a block of ice. Melt the ice to release the token from inside.
Symbiote Scientist	150,000	None	Complete Reptilian Ruckus
Symbiote-Scientist (Hazmat)	150,000	None	Complete Exploratory Laboratory
Task Master	150,000	Floating Platform	This one will be hard to find if you don’t uncover areas of the sea, on the map. On the southern area of the map, halfway between the helicarrier and Liberty Island, there is a floating platform, very high up. On the platform there is a box with a silver padlock. Destroy the padlock to open the box and collect the token.
Toad	150,000	Liberty Island	Speak to Toad (after completing a previous bounce challenge for him) and he will challenge you to bounce again. As before, go through all the hoops before time runs out, to unlock the character.
Union Jack	150,000	None	Complete The Brick Apple
Venom	Free	None	Complete Exploratory Laboratory
Viper	150,000	Central Park	In a bush there is a chest with a gold padlock on it. Destroy the gold block and the chest will open, giving you the character token.
Vulture	150,000	None	Complete Nuff Said
War Machine	Free	None	Complete House Party Protocol
Iron Patriot	150,000	Empire State Building	On top of the building, there are three American flags. Use the claw switch to raise the flag on the left, then head to the right and pull the red hook to raise that flag. Now head up the building, following the blue lights leading from the middle flag, and use your Super Sense at the top. Pull the switch you reveal to raise the final flag, and unlock the character.
Wasp	150,000	Ant Man’s Lab	On top of the lab building, there is a maze of tunnels. Stand at the end that has two openings, both with little antennae on them. Enter through the opening on the right, then navigate your way through the passages, stepping on switches to deactivate any barriers. When you reach the other end, you will collect the token.
Whiplash	150,000	Yorkville	Take control of a man inside a building, and have him pull the lever to open the box outside. The token is inside the box.
Wizard	150,000	Baxter Building	On the front of the building, there is a blue box, below the large number 4. To the left, there is a switch which you can throw, if you use Magnetic Powers. This will open the box so you can collect the token.
